These players will be future members of our competitive teams. Stephane Guillaume academy program will introduce the players to the basic skills of soccer and emphasize fun, imagination, and creativity with the ball. Through active play, small groups, and mini-games. Stephane Guillaume academy players will grow to love the game and enjoy the benefits of exercise and group interaction.
U-10 through U-12 boys & girls ages 9,10,11,&12
U-11 boys (ages 9 & 10) SGA players are introduced to tournament play. SGA (APD) Advance Player Development program encourages competition as a positive and healthy experience, especially when the focus is on process and performance rather than outcome only. At this age, we provide a skillful approach to the game, comfort with the ball, and overall confidence will be emphasized. We continue to stress enjoyment of the game while building soccer skills and general athleticism.
U-13 & U14 boys & girls (ages 12,13 & 14)
While individual ball skills continue to be emphasized, SGA program also add the objective of game awareness. Players are encouraged to stay involved and keep track of all the things going on in the game. With plenty of opportunities to have contact with the ball and to both attack and defend in game situations, players are prepared for an introduction of tactics at the next age level.
At this age, SGA continue to emphasize individual ball skill as well as individual and group decision making. The encouragement of risk taking and experimenting with the ball now are placed in relation to team concepts. We coach Free-flowing, thoughtful soccer where all players are expected to attack and defend. Our methodology enhances player development and keep the game enjoyable.
U15 &-16 boys & girls (ages 14,15 & 16)
At this age, SGA small begins to discuss how team tactics can influence the game and be enhanced by individual skill and comfort with the ball. Our club begins to focus on positional responsibilities and accountability for decision making. Training sessions prepare players to deal with the pressure of limited time and space on the field. SGA also encourage players to think and reflect about the game and their impact upon it and how independent, creative thinkers with skill make playing and watching the game a joy.
U17 & U-18 boys & girls (ages 16 & 17)
At this age, SGA program continues to discuss how team tactics can influence the game and be enhanced by individual skill and comfort with the ball. We begin to focus on positional responsibilities and accountability for decision making. Training sessions will prepare players to deal with the pressure of limited time and space on the field. We will also encourage players to think and reflect about the game and their impact upon it and how independent, creative thinkers with skill make playing and watching the game a joy.
Our goal is to fine tune qualities that already exist with particular attention paid to honing game insight, physical conditioning, and attitude. Our club methodology encourages players to take responsibility for improving their technical skills and overall game. Team issues (i.e., tactics, game management, positional roles, etc.) become the focus of our training sessions. Players are expected to continue to be creative, critical thinkers during competitive practices in order to successfully deal with the demands presented to them by the game.
